Situation
Kosongan.id is an independent Indonesian-language pop-culture news site, founded in January 2018. As founder and SEO Team Lead, I owned the whole operation: the editorial engine and the search strategy behind it.
What I found
In pop-culture news, traffic compounds with volume and consistency. Every article needs to be briefed, structured, and interlinked around a deliberate topical map. The opportunity was building an editorial operation that could publish at scale without sacrificing SEO discipline.
What I changed
I recruited, trained, and managed a team of writers and editors publishing 60-90 articles a month. I ran the editorial calendar, wrote the keyword briefs, and enforced quality checks, with continuous refinement of content, metadata, and structure so each month's output built on the last.
What happened
The site grew to 28,000+ daily organic visitors backed by 811 top-10 articles through a repeatable editorial and SEO workflow.
What I'd do next
The next step is to deepen topical authority in the highest-value verticals and re-optimize the archive as search intent shifts. New output alone isn't enough.
